Launching Brave Movement

We’ve launched the digital platform for Brave Movement, a global survivor-led initiative working to end childhood sexual violence. Hosted by Together for Girls and launched in 2022, the movement puts SAGE (Survivor Advocates Globally Empowered) at the centre of efforts to drive policy change worldwide.

This was a project where accessibility wasn’t an add-on or a checkbox exercise. It needed to be fundamental. The platform serves survivors, advocates, policymakers, and allies across different abilities, languages, and contexts. We achieved WCAG AAA compliance, ensuring the site could reach everyone it needs to reach.

The content architecture balances powerful storytelling with clear calls to action across four priority areas: Justice, Investment, Safety, and Inclusion. The platform needed to amplify survivor voices while supporting campaigns for concrete policy changes, from ending statute of limitations to securing child-safe internet policies and ensuring survivors have a seat at decision-making tables.

Built on Craft CMS, the platform supports the movement’s ongoing work and their #BeBrave campaign. The system gives the team flexibility to respond as campaigns develop while maintaining the trauma-informed, survivor-centred approach that defines everything they do.

The platform serves as a global hub for demanding transformative action from leaders, with survivors leading the charge rather than being sidelined in conversations about their own lives.
